This warm ergonomic design offers simple adjustment with Herbst telescopic hardware, allowing up to 8mm advancement of the lower jaw. The freedom of lateral and vertical movement offers reduced force on the attachments, resulting in fewer breakages and making this device suitable for a patient who grinds during the night.
The sleek design gives reduced lingual coverage allowing for increased tongue space, which is a major plus in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. The device can be made with an all acrylic fitting surface which is retained with ball clasps or a dual laminate soft material.
